A tale of dark and troubling things.

If On A Winter's Night, Four Travelers is a narrative-driven point-and-click adventure that explores the stories of four different characters in a masked ball taking place on a train in the late 1920s.

THE SILENT ROOM

In a luxurious hotel room in Rome, freshly arrived from Turin, Carlo awaits for his lover Patrick to arrive. However, as the shadow of fascism looms ever larger, the tension of meeting in constant hiding is beginning to take its toll.

THE SLOW VANISHING OF LADY WINTERBOURNE

Lady Winterbourne has lost her husband in a tragic accident. Now letters from pretenders to her vast fortune keep arriving every day at her mansion, yet the only thing she's interested in is the bottle of laudanum in her cabinet.

THE NAMELESS RITUAL

Harassed, ridiculed and belittled by his peers, Dr. Jordan Samuels has resorted to the occult sciences in a desperate attempt to turn the tables on his tormentors. But is he truly ready to face the Guardian of the Threshold?

IF ON A WINTER'S NIGHT

As much as Laylah enjoys her job, sometimes she yearns for a bit of variety to distract her from her daily routine -- even if it means going against her very powerful bosses' orders.

I fell in love with this game. IT'S SO WONDERFUL!!

I divided the videos into chapters and they are still coming out on my channel. In every episode I was moved and empathized a lot with the protagonists. As an Italian, I loved the first chapter and it is one of the ones I became most fond of

This game is a work of art. Thank you for making it. You could see the story to Hollywood. Make a great move or series.

Truly beautiful!!

For those who liked this and want something similar: try The Last Door season 1 and 2

I've never been in love with a game more. Thank you for this beauty. Your work is much appreciated.

(+1)

The ONLY thing I didn't like about the whole game was how slow the characters walk! This is SUCH a good game!

(+1)

Best game on the website. Thank you for making this.

(+1)

best game so far i have played from itch.io

Stream and I were not prepared for this game, in the best way possible. While it made us all a little uncomfortable at moments, everyone in this game felt very human in their struggles. There was a lot of yelling at the screen, hoping the characters could hear us, so that maybe we could save them from their continued bad decisions. If you're going to play this on stream, which I recommend, just make sure to trigger warn everything because it does get heavy pretty fast.

The Slow Vanishing was incredible for me: I loved the use of changing character design and the back and forth of the house to help tell the story. It really felt like a lot of time was put into the design for that story. The same for The Nameless Ritual, which had me initially getting mad at the MC for all his desire of power (it was understandable, but this was not the way bb!!) In all, those two characters were the strongest and their stories were the most enjoyable.

Also, very well balanced with the puzzles. We only got caught on one during The Slow Vanishing, largely because we couldn't figure out the correct order for the records. That was it though! Everything else was fairly straight-forward, but not so hand-held that you felt like you didn't actually solve anything.

Overall, fantastic game! Definitely worth playing!

Whoa. This is an amazing game! So different from other horror type games that i've played (and believe me, I've played a ton of these games haha) The art, and the story were great! It was linear enough to not get lost, but there were times when I wandered around confused (mostly with the lady winterbournes story, it took me the longest to figure out)

The music was great as well as everything else. Fantastic work!

Awesome story. Awesome art. Great job!

(+2)

Finally finished it and honestly, this game's only flaw is that it ended. Absolutely beautiful, every part of it!

(+1)

I finished Valerie's chapter and i absolutely loved it (as sad as it was). The pixel art continues to leave me speechless

(+1)

I'm absolutely mesmerized by the game so far, literally can't find any flaws

(+2)

Barely scratched the surface and i'm already in love. Beautiful pixel art and very intriguing story so far. Excited to play it until the end :)

(+4)

This was really really exceptional. Lady Winterbourne was my favorite story by a hair but it's all extremely good. Thanks for makin' this.

(1 edit) (+2)

This is the most beautiful game I've ever played. My favorite part was the last.

But I need more.

(+5)

I have no words to describe how good this game was. it's absolutely not the common thing, you would see searching for just a horror game, it's something way more interesting. Even the classical pieces, used in the game are incredibly perfect describes characters emotions and moods in every chapters.
I want to recommend this game, because it is one of the best games on the whole platform!

(+2)

This game has far exceeded all expectations! Wonderful pixel art and animations with attention to detail, reliving people's last memories with original and not at all obvious stories was wonderful! My Twitch community loved it. Keep it up, we need these game pearls!

(+5)

if you ever wanted to waste to laudanum while denying your past with a copy of Proust on your bedside table, have an argument with your male gay lover in early 20th century Rome, or melancholichaly strum the Gymnopédies on your harp then wonder when did your harp get covered by a cloth and where is the maid and no, shh, don’t disturb the shadows, all in tasteful point-and-click pixel art, have I got the game to suggest you

Yaa, man! Pretty cool. My english isn't good and i probably don't understand many things, but i like it.

(-3)

Hmmm do you have something against Central Asia? The anecdotes themselves are pretty cool though.

Looks incredible. I am going to try it soon!

(+4)

incredible game. I loved everything from the incredible pixel art to the wonderful music, to the truly haunting stories (“haunting” used here with the most positive connotation). I really cannot recommend this game enough, you will not find another like this anywhere. Please do yourself a favor and play this.

Kinda sketch in setup (windows)
My screen constantly flickers if I try switching monitors, secondary audio goes kinda bad.
Does not appear to be a virus, however feels a lot like one with all these incidental features

(+2)

This Game is a masterpiece. Story, themes, pixel art... everything is perfect. Bravo !!

(+2)

The Nameless Ritual was so good I can't get it out of my head

(-1)

Please add the Mac version to Steam - I bought it there.

Amazing and beautiful games.

(+1)

Amazing game, Graphics, music and story. Amazing.

(+1)

This game is great it has an intriguing story great visuals and I am glad I played it for my channel I had fully adjusted my microphone after I fix something yet so I'll cut out from time to time

also didn't realize there where only three parts to this until I had already uploaded it the next part will be out shortly

I tried to play this on Linux with a dual monitor setup. I only see the left half of the game screen on the right half of the right monitor. Any hints? Else I would need to try this on Windows.

Extremely emotional, beautiful, immersive game. Best experienced when playing in one sitting with rain outside your window. Truly one of the hidden gems, can't believe it's free to play. Big thanks to the creators for this amazing experience and I'd love to see more from them.

(+3)

This game is dripping with depth and creativity. Where do all these amazingly original ideas even come from?!
I loved every second of this from start to finish, and I can't wait to see what future games come from this pair. Electrifying stuff.

(+1)

Amazing game and very dark and interesting stories!!! would love more games like this

(+1)

Absolutely loved this so much, what a special atmosphere, really immersive! Had to get the artbook too. I totally understand the decision for the above-the-head texts, it's the better solution. But I'd have loved to see character portraits for all of them!

Lady Winterbournes sparkly transitions left me speechless, it looked so magical and smooth, together with the music a true masterpiece.

My fav was Dr. Samuels, it was so creepy and creative and artsy, the visuals were awesome. (just the slow walking in the water was a bit tedious, as I spoke to the creature last and had to go everywhere a second time).

Great work <3

(+2)

I loved this game so much !

It is a masterpiece of story telling and animation.

(+2)

absolutely delightful. every story captured me, but especially lady winterbourne's! it made me tear up a bit :(

Enjoying the game now. A nice story to follow. I will left as suggestion the control of the game in chat parts, I mean, when the player don't have a cursor. I had to stop it in the middle and the ESC key just forward the story and I miss that part because cannot pause and save it. Also will suggest to keep doing good jobs like this!

(+1)

this is not a "game", it's a piece of poetry. italo calvino would be proud! (and it's 'name your own price'... folks, please buy laura a coffee!)
